We are pleased to announce our upcoming Hydrogen Training School, taking place on 8–10 September 2026 in Luxembourg.

Over three days, participants will explore the full hydrogen value chain, gaining a comprehensive understanding of how hydrogen supports the transition to clean energy, from production to practical applications.

The programme will combine:

  • 🎓 Training sessions on hydrogen technologies and systems
  • 🛠️ Interactive workshops
  • ⚖️ Insights into policy and regulatory frameworks
  • 🌍 Exploration of hydrogen valleys and real-world ecosystems
  • 🤝 Networking with experts from academia and industry
  • 🔬 Site visits and practical demonstrations

This training school is designed for students, researchers, and professionals interested in hydrogen and the energy transition.
📅 Dates: 8–10 September 2026

The event is organised in by University of Luxembourg in collaboration with LuxHyVal, HyWay, GreenSkHY and ValHyCon project consortia and it is free of charge and will be accessible both online and in person.
Due to limited capacity, in-person participation will be capped and prioritised for participants with relevant backgrounds and demonstrated interest.

Renewable hydrogen, derived from renewable energy sources, is a key pathway to reducing emissions in hard-to-electrify sectors and supporting the global transition to sustainable energy systems. Despite policy commitments and strategic roadmaps, large-scale deployment requires meticulous strategizing to ensure competitiveness and long-term viability. This study presents a decision-making framework to locate competitive sites for large-scale photovoltaic and wind-based hydrogen production facilities in Portugal.
