Work: A two-staged bubbling column reactor for plastic pyrolysis/gasification was established at the Department of Energy and Power Engineering at Tsinghua University (Figure 1). Liquid alloys were used as catalysts and gave inspiring results. The parameters for the following experiments were designed, while some of them have been done. Additionally, as part of extracurricular practice of Tsinghua University, we also visited a farm and chemical plant (Figure 2) to further understand the process and importance of solid waste treatment and environmental protection.
